An Electric Bicycle Makes Pedaling
An Option. And, They Are Eco-friendly

Currie IZIP electric cruiser An electric bicycle is a true hybrid. You can pedal when you want some exercise or take a break and let the bike do the work. Another option is to let the motor help on hills and pedal for the rest of your ride. In any case, gasoline prices in the $3.50 to $4.00 per gallon range may be enough of an incentive to take a hard look at e-bikes and stop getting ripped off by OPEC.

If you think you can't commute by bike, an electric bicycle changes the game. Suddenly pulling a trailer or carrying heavier loads becomes do-able. A sweat-free commute becomes a reality. And going up hills is as fun as going down.

An electric trail bike can be the answer for rider that wants to get away from traffic, and do a little trail riding, but might need a little help on the rough spots like steeper inclines. The suspension cushions the ride and the bike is configured like a mountain bike.

All E-bikes have removable batteries that can charge in 3 to 5 hours and will cruise at speeds up to 20 mph for up to 30 miles with pedal assist. Most have raised handlebars and well padded seats for a comfortable, upright, riding position.

You can get an electric bicycle with all of the goodies that you expect on a quality comfort bike including lights, fenders, and rear racks. Some even have disk brakes and suspension forks.

You do need to check the local laws but there are only a few states that require a license. So,you have a powered vehicle, that you can park just about anywhere, that doesn't even need a license. How cool is that?
Although they are pedal optional, an electric bicycle performs best, with the longest battery life, for the longest distance, when pedaled gently in the proper gear. The bicycle shown here has a 7 speed internal rear hubs and twist throttle.

You can still get some exercise by pedaling, you can't beat the economy, and they are fun to ride. It's hard to imagine a cheaper way to commute. Remember, you can still get home if the battery runs out by just pedaling.

Currie IZIP Urbano folding electric bike A folding electric bike goes places that no other bike can go. Like a closet, a car trunk, an elevator, a bus, a train, a plane, or a office building. You may sacrifice a bit in ride and handling (not as much as you might think) but it makes up for it in storage and convenience. They are very popular in Europe and Asia and catching on, rapidly, in the USA.
