An electric bicycle is a true hybrid. You can pedal when you want some exercise or take a break and let the bike do the work. Another option is to let the motor help on hills and pedal for the rest of your ride. In any case, gasoline prices in the $3.50 to $4.00 per gallon range may be enough of an incentive to take a hard look at e-bikes and stop getting ripped off by OPEC.
