Cycling Vests Are Perfect When You Want Warmth Without Restricting Movement
Cycling vests can be super handy items. They can be worn over a jersey for added warmth in cold weather, or the lighter weight vests, can be worn instead of a jersey in warm weather.
Actually,I prefer a light-weight vest to a jersey in warm weather and love the freedom of movement and the cooler comfort of a light-weight vest.
I also prefer having side pockets like the vest shown here. Most jerseys and vests have the pockets in the back, and most riders are fine with that, but I think the side pockets are more accessible and, I guess, I’m just more accustomed to side pockets.
Another option is to stow a light-weight vest in your jersey pocket, or bag, and wear it over your jersey for a little extra warmth.

All are made of breathable materials and most are water resistant or waterproof. The heavier vests give added warmth and still breath to prevent overheating and are usually worn over a long sleeve jersey in colder weather.
